macOS - v2.0: Trckify comes to Mac

Today Trckify becomes a true cross-platform app. The first full macOS release is now available on the Mac App Store as part of your Universal Purchase — one purchase, all your devices.

Why a Mac edition

Your iPhone is for recording. Your Apple Watch is for the freedom of leaving the phone behind. But when you get home and want to actually look at what you did — scroll through a month of ski days, trim a long ride down to the interesting segment, convert an old GPX to a FIT file for your new Garmin — a phone screen starts to feel small.

The Mac edition is exactly that: the desktop companion to the iOS app. Record on the go, explore at home.

What the Mac app does

Big screen explorer. Interactive 3D terrain map with pan, zoom, rotate and tilt. Four color modes — Speed, Altitude, Progress, and the unique Heatmap view — let you see your track from completely different angles. Detailed stats with click-to-inspect on the elevation profile. Find your fastest point, highest peak or lowest valley right on the map.

Import anything. Drag and drop GPX or Slopes files anywhere in the window. Automatic sport detection with manual override. For skiing and snowboarding, the app automatically detects lift segments and keeps them separate from your runs, so your stats reflect only the downhill parts.

Trim with precision. The dual-handle range slider on the elevation profile lets you crop any part of a track. Save the trimmed version as a new copy or override the original. Lift detection re-runs automatically after every trim, and all metadata — heart rate, timestamps, calories — stays intact.

Convert and export. Generate clean FIT files for Strava, Garmin Connect and DJI Dashboards, or re-encode to GPX with preserved sport type. Export high-resolution map screenshots with your chosen color mode — the output aspect ratio matches exactly what you see on screen.

Native Mac design. Sidebar navigation, toolbar with one-click import/export, drag and drop everywhere, light and dark mode, multiple window support, full keyboard shortcuts, English and German localization. Built in SwiftUI from day one — no phone UI scaled up awkwardly.

iCloud sync across all your devices

Every track you record on iPhone or Apple Watch appears on Mac automatically via iCloud. History, thumbnails, statistics, source files — all synced. Trim a track on Mac, the change shows up on iPhone. Record on the Watch, it lands in your Mac history on the next sync.

The same applies to Settings — your metric/imperial preference and default sport are synced across iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch.

Universal Purchase

Trckify for Mac is included with your iPhone purchase. If you already own Trckify on iPhone, macOS will offer the Mac edition as a free download. No separate purchase, no separate App Store listing — one product across all your Apple devices.

Honest limits

GPS recording happens on iPhone or Apple Watch. The Mac edition is the desktop viewer, editor and converter — desktops don’t have a GPS receiver, so there’s nothing to record from. Everything else is there: import, explore, trim, convert, export, share.

What’s next

Now that all three platforms share a common foundation, we can iterate on both sides in parallel. The roadmap for the Mac edition includes season statistics, side-by-side track comparison, and expanded screenshot tooling. More on that soon.

For now: give the Mac edition a try, and let us know how it holds up on your own tracks. Feedback at trckify.com/support.
