iOS 1.5.5 & macOS 2.5: Honest Top Speeds, Clearer Charts, Steadier Watch Stops
No big new feature this time — this release is about the details you told us about. Thank you for every report.
Charts that say what they show
Hide the speed curve in the elevation profile and the left axis now switches to what you’re actually looking at: meters for elevation, bpm for heart rate. Tick marks always include the lowest and highest value of your ride. And in Dark Mode the elevation silhouette is finally clearly visible instead of a faint shadow.
Top speed you can trust
GPS occasionally “teleports” a position by a few dozen meters — right after the start, under trees, or when the signal comes back. Computed as speed, that one second could show up as 56 km/h on a relaxed ride. Trckify now checks whether a speed change is physically possible for your sport and ignores jumps that aren’t. Your real maximum stays, the phantom goes.
Apple Watch: no waiting, no guessing
Stop a long recording on your Watch and the entry appears in your history immediately, marked as still transferring, instead of leaving you looking at the previous workout. When the data arrives, a short note tells you.
Stopping from the iPhone Lock Screen now stops the Watch as well, even when the two aren’t talking to each other at that moment — and the “really stop?” confirmation stays in place for every recording.
Also in this release
- Fixed a possible crash when exporting from the history on some devices
- History entries load in the background and expand more smoothly
- FIT and GPX export are more robust against invalid values in recordings
- Mac: the same chart, top speed, history and export improvements
Trckify is a one-time purchase — iPhone, Apple Watch and Mac included. No subscription.
