iOS 1.5.1: Indoor Rowing, Concept2 Logbook & Strava
Version 1.5.0 taught Trckify to row. 1.5.1 moves the boat indoors — and connects it to the rest of your training world.
Indoor rowing with the Concept2 PM5
Pair your PM5 monitor over Bluetooth and Trckify becomes a full indoor recorder: live pace, stroke rate, power, distance, splits and intervals, plus heart rate from your Apple Watch or a BLE chest strap — which Trckify also sends to the PM5, so your pulse shows up right on the monitor.
You can program the erg from the app: pick Just Row, a fixed distance, a fixed time, or build interval workouts with the new workout builder, and Trckify sets up the PM5 for you. After the session, the stats view shows pace/SPM/power/heart-rate curves, split tables and per-interval summaries.
Concept2 Logbook sync
Connect your Concept2 account once, and finished indoor workouts upload to the official Logbook — with full split and interval detail including stroke rate, calories and a complete heart-rate profile. Turn on auto-sync and it happens by itself after every session; leave it off and upload per workout, your choice.
Strava — now built in
The Strava integration is live for everyone: upload outdoor and indoor activities as FIT files, manually from any history entry or automatically after each recording. One honest note: Trckify currently runs on Strava’s Standard API tier, which limits how many athletes can be connected at once. If connecting fails, the slots are momentarily full — we are working on extended access, and manual FIT export always works in the meantime.
Steps & cadence
Hiking and running recordings now capture steps and live cadence, on iPhone and Apple Watch, with a cadence curve in the profile chart afterwards.
A calmer 500m pace
Rowers told us the live /500m read jumped around within a stroke — and they were right: a boat genuinely accelerates and decelerates inside every single stroke, and the display was faithfully reporting that chaos. The live pace is now smoothed over roughly three stroke cycles, the way an erg monitor does it, and rowing recordings sample GPS at full rate.
Recordings now travel light
Under the hood, recordings are stored in a new compact format — around a tenth of their previous size, with zero data loss. The practical effect: a long rowing session appears on your Mac seconds after you stop, not minutes.
Also in this release: a confirmation step for the lock-screen pause button during outdoor rowing (splash-proofing, literally), reliability improvements across the Apple Watch connection, and plenty of polish.
