v1.4: Apple Watch Standalone Recording
Trckify 1.4 brings the biggest update yet: full Apple Watch support with standalone GPS recording.
Record Without Your iPhone
Leave your phone at home. Your Apple Watch now records GPS tracks and heart rate data completely independently. When you return to your iPhone, tracks sync automatically.
Perfect for skiing, trail running, or any activity where you don’t want to carry your phone.
Live Recording Dashboard
The new recording view on iPhone shows live stats during your activity:
- Speed, distance, elevation, and duration at a glance
- Real-time heart rate from Apple Watch
- Live map with route tracking
- Background recording with Live Activity on your lock screen
Apple Watch UI
The Watch app features a Slopes-style swipeable interface:
- Stats page with large, readable numbers: speed, distance, heart rate, elevation, and timer
- Controls page with pause, resume, and stop buttons
- Always-On Display support during workouts
- 3-2-1 countdown when you start recording
More Improvements
- Heart rate data is now preserved when reloading tracks from history
- GPX exports include the sport type for correct reimport
- Drag & drop import now shows the sport picker instead of defaulting to skiing
- New streamlined 5-tab layout: Record, Stats, Map, History, Tools
- Map camera correctly recenters when switching between tracks from different regions
Available now on the App Store.
